Short animation created from Blender 3D rendered frames. The Earth is composed from several layers of actual Earth daytime and nighttime satellite imagery which changes from night to day image as the surface rotates into the light. Plus the atmosphere and clouds are also separate layers that can move independently. The Moon was a separate model that I thought would look cool with the Earth.
